Chicken Nuggets

Thursday May 9th
School was pretty average. Some weeping in the morning... From Juliet Sharon and Sally. Juliet because she was going slower than everyone else. Sharon because the person she popcorned to did not popcorn back to her (popcorn is what they call it when after you read a sentence, you get to call the next person. So if I read a sentence, after I am done, I say popcorn _____. Then that person starts to read and the process continues [I originally did not like popcorn, but I do now, because it makes sure all of the kids are following along and paying attention]), and Sally because she was playing with Sharon's eraser and I think Sharon said something to Sally and then put the eraser away. I sometimes just get to a point where the only thing I can do is laugh.
Chloe and Emma from my afternoon Canada class like me. Chloe got Emma to start calling me happy teacher too. They both came back to the teachers office to say hi and to get me. Both hang on to me (literally wrap around my legs). I bought and brought the class choco pies (like a moon pie) but the class was acting bad, so I did not give them out.
My Korea class, the classroom was hot, so I moved them into the seminar room. All of them were on better behavior. I really do not like teaching in Korea class. I might see if there is a way I can get that classroom changed. Korea classroom is the one for 5 year olds, so the desk tables are all really small. And these are 12 year olds sitting at them.
I had an online Korean class this evening. It went okay. Not too sure what I think about it. We'll see. I want to learn Korean. Online means I get to do the work and study when I have time, and I just have to be available on Thursday nights. Not too bad.
Anyway, onward with my night. After the class I decided I wanted to go to the little grocery store across the street. I wanted food. I still have not purchased kitchen stuff (frying pan/pots) so I pretty much can only cook with my microwave. Most of the food here is not meant for a microwave. It is made to be cooked in a frying pan. So I am digging through the frozen foods, when I see chicken nuggets in the shape of dinosaurs. Eureka!!!  On the back, there is even a picture of a microwave. I am in luck. I know I can cook them. So I grab them and grab some sweet chili sauce. I proceed to the checkout. 10000 for the nuggets. Yes, 10000 won for a small bag of chicken nuggets. So what do I do? I buy them because I have no idea how to say I do not want them. I have them in my refrigerator. I may eat them tonight, or I may keep them in my refrigerator so I feel like I am getting my moneys worth out of them. I doubt I will get them again (though if they are the most amazing nuggets I have ever had, I may).
So now I am here, and will be getting ready to try to go to bed soon. I am very tired, but at the same time not at all tired.  So we'll see. Maybe a show or movie on netflix then bed.

Oh, I want to clarify something in my last post, because I know my mother will be concerned. I said the #1 non-essential is alcohol. That does not mean I spend an incredible amount on it nor do I often. But if I go bar hopping/clubbing with my friends, I consider the entire experience alcohol (cover, drinks, food...).
