Wednesday May 8.
School was normal today. No real drama. Everyone seemed pretty happy. I like when my students are happy acting. We did science today (Wednesday is our science day). Only Juliet wept. She is a weeper. As bad as it is, I have just pretty much come to ignore it. She weeps if people turn the page before her, she weeps if she doesnt understand something, she weeps if she feels she is falling behind, she weeps if people say something to her, she weeps if she gets in trouble. She was not following instructions, so she did not do something correctly. When she called for my help, I told her no, I would not help her fist and that I would help the students following instructions first. She starts weeping. Instead of comforting her, I just continue helping the students that were following instructions. She soon gets herself at the right place on the project.
I met my Denmark Chloe's mom and Chloes "baby" today. The baby was fascinated with me. It smiled so much when I was near, and when I walked away the joy just left it. I entertained Chloe and her baby as Louise talked to her mother.
After school, Sarah and I went to the Korean version of the Dollar Store. Granted they were a little more expensive. I ended up buying some things that I wanted (not needed). I now have a broom and a dustpan, paper towels, dish soap, a clock for my apartment, a knife, and a few spoons and chopsticks. I was going to be going to pick up a George Foreman Griddle after work, but the guy selling it told me that he cleaned it and plugged it in this morning and it did not work. I guess I will have to wait a little longer for pancakes.
Tonight Hudson, his GF Taylor, Ama, his GF, Rob, Sarah, Sam and I all sat outside the GS just talking and drinking some beer. The weather is lovely.
Yesterday was payday. When I checked my account today, it was lower than I though it should be. I need to get a statement. I am worried that one of my bills is way to high... though I also know that this last month I was a little loose with money (buying things).
A realization I had today is that among my non-essentials, Ice Cream might be my #3 purchase in terms of money. Alcohol is number one, Coffee is number 2, and Ice cream is number 3. I am not going to lie, I kind of like thinking of Ice-cream being one of the main things that I should not be spending much money one.
Okay, off to bed, the week is near over!
